CRANSTON, R.I. (October 3, 2019) — A new study highlights the ongoing challenges in addressing overdose rates across the country. Through effective programming and partnerships at city and state levels, CODAC leaders say access to medication assisted treatment has improved.

Linda Hurley, President/CEO of CODAC Behavioral Healthcare, joined WPRI to discuss the significant strides Rhode Island has made amidst the ongoing opioid epidemic.

“We have seen extremely positive results in an effort to increase access to treatment for opioid use disorder,” Hurley said. She added that more work is needed, but it all starts with tailored treatment plans.
